Group Exercise: 24h Clock (2x12hours AM/PM) - AV installation
In the first two weeks of this project, an embedded interdisciplinary project was taking place simultaniously: the Open Design module of the BA Code&Context programm was influencing with 36 students from the 3rd and 5th semester, mostly experienced in anything “coding” but not too much in anything “design conceptual”, yet. In combination with the 20 KISD students from the Integrated Design program, they were invited to form teams and join forces for a specific applied type & tech exercise: Time for a demonstration of a postdigital conceptual time system on a timeline.
Based on illustrations, serving as initial keyvisual and interface for their scene, they had to come up with a dedicated “demo of an hour”. Each group got a specific hour during AM/PM. Each team had to come up with two highly abstract, experimental type related based on a post digital conception of temporality.
