How do we make sense of all the information and impressions we encounter over time? As time passes, we are constantly processing what is new to us and connecting it with what we already know. In Ticking Pieces, we aimed to portray this process through visuals that continuously alternate between confusion and clarity. 

Throughout the animation, a Timer made of separate pieces slowly builds itself up. Similar to a puzzle, it becomes readable only when enough matching pieces are connected. As time goes by, new pieces of information flow in. Some neatly find their place; others simply pass through. But a few pieces misfit, causing disruptions that challenge the Timer to find new ways to reconnect and make sense of itself again.
